250 People Wash Hands in Roadside Event

A Women’s Fellowship team in Believers Church Kolkata Diocese organized a special program on the roadside for Global Hand Washing Day on 15th October 2009. Dr. Tapan Biswas of the Indian Medical Association spoke to passersby about the importance of hand washing and its benefits.

Believers Church staff also ushered people to washbasins that were set up outside to put the teaching into practice. Two hundred fifty people washed their hands during the awareness program.

Many programs like this are arranged by Believers Church every year on Global Hand Washing Day.
