205 Children Attend VBS in Niranam Diocese

Two hundred five children attended a Vacation Bible School organized by the Sunday school of St. Thomas Believers Church Cathedral from 31st March to 6th April. The theme was His Strength Not Mine, based on the official VBS theme for 2014: I Can. The children learned that they could do all things through Christ’s strength (Philippians 4:13). Bishop Dr. Samuel Mathew opened the VBS with prayer on the first day.

Action songs, Bible lessons, crafts, games, skits and puppet shows encouraged children to trust God’s strength, to never give up and to share with the less fortunate.

“I learned the lesson that we should never give up,” said a girl named Mahima. “Even though there are people in the world who say, ‘You can’t do this, you can’t do that’, but we never have to give up.”

This was the first of hundreds of VBS programs that will be held this year throughout different dioceses of Believers Church.
