Believers Church Diocese of Dhakuakhana organized flood relief distributions at two villages in Lakhimpur District of Assam, on 29th August 2017.
Lakhimpur was the worst-affected district where floods caused large-scale destruction of human habitation and farmlands.
During the relief distributions held in this district, dry rations consisting of 10 kg rice, 1 liter mustard oil, 1 kg salt and 1 kg dal were distributed to 200 flood-hit families.
The beneficiaries expressed their whole-hearted thankfulness towards the relief work carried out by the church.
Harensing Lagachu, a daily laborer, said, “Due to the floods I was not able to do any work and was worried how to meet the needs of my family. Thank you very much for providing these food items”.
