Believers Church Diocese of Bengaluru dedicated eight new bore wells in rural villages on 22nd and 23rd August 2014. 14,500 people use these wells each day.
In one of these villages, the low caste people were considered as untouchable and were banned from using the common well in their village. Their only water source was a water tanker which would come only occasionally, which made them to suffer more. Seeing their need, the church provided a new bore well for them.
All the villagers were thankful to the church for solving their problems and providing a constant source of clean water. “We were not allowed to use the water from common well due to caste problem,” said one villager. “But now, we can access sufficient water from this new bore well.”
Believers Church provides clean and safe drinking water to rural communities through the clean water project.
