Believers Church Diocese of Diphu organized a vocational training tailoring student’s graduation program on 18th August 2015. 14 women graduated that day.
These women were given training in stitching and embroidery works through a six-month long tailoring course. Now they can use this skill to start earning an income of their own.
“After the death of my husband, I used to sell vegetables and work in other houses to take care of my two kids. I was struggling hard to meet their needs,” said Basa Taropi, one graduate woman. “But now, I can make an income by stitching clothes for others.”
Through Vocational Training programs, Believers Church provides underprivileged women a chance to learn a useful skill with which they can earn an income and become self-supporting.
