On 28th July, Believers Church Patna Diocese celebrated Parents Day in all of its Bridge of Hope centers. Altogether almost 2,000 people gathered for the programs.
In one center, Shri. Shahid Ai Khan (Minority Welfare and Information Technology Minister) was the chief guest for the program. Mr. Vijay Prakash (Principal Secretary of Planning & Development) was the guest of honour. During the program, parents were honoured and 138 poor children received school bags, uniform, notebooks and other school supplies.
Shri. Shahid Ali Khan encouraged the parents to devote more time for the education and well being of their children. He also expressed his admiration, on behalf of the Bihar Government and thanked Believers Church for her noble gesture towards the education and social development of the neediest children and parents in the society.
Bishop M.A. Lalachan in his message said that,” A father’s goodness is higher than the mountain and a mother’s love is deeper than the ocean. So honouring father and mother must be the foundation of life.” Quoting from the Bible Bishop said, “Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. Honour your father and mother.”
Children are realizing their worth and that of their parents at Bridge of Hope centers set up by Believers Church.
