1,100 Villagers Tasted Pure Water for the First Time in their Lives

The Diocese of Ranchi installed five new bore wells between 9th January and 12th January 2014. Now these bore wells are the main source of water for more than 1,100 villagers.

People in these villages were struggling for safe and clean water. Usually these people depended on the open ponds near their villages, which were dirty and shared by animals. This unhygienic water exposed the poor villagers to all types of diseases and sometimes death.

The villagers were very happy about the inauguration of the bore well. In one of these villages, an old man said, “I never heard about or seen a hand pump in my life, now I know that this hand pump can provide me pure water.”

The clean water project is a project of Believers Church working with the purpose to give pure, safe water to needy people.
