Believers Church Niranam Diocese held its annual convention from 29th January to 2nd February. The purpose of the event was to encourage people in their faith, and to bring hope and healing. Around 10,000 people attended from across Kerala, including DORA Microfinance members, Bridge of Hope students and their families and Believers Church members.
The convention was inaugurated by Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom, Valiya Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma church. He shared about God’s love, and challenged people to be passionate about knowing God, not only gaining His blessings. Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan followed this by sharing from John 5, about how Jesus healed a lame man.
Other speakers included Bishop Dr. Simon John, Bishop Dr. Samuel Mathew, Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan and Fr. Paulose Parekara (Jacobite Syrian Church). Dr. Mrs. Siny Punnoose of Believers Church shared during the Women’s Fellowship session. Throughout the convention, Believers Church Theological Seminary students and Sisters of Compassion shared testimonies of God’s faithfulness in their lives and service.
Mr. Anto Antony Punnathaniyil (Member of Parliament) showed his support by attending the convention on Saturday.
Gatherings like this are just one of the many ways Believers Church uplifts community members and brings hope.
