Over 100 People Receive Income-Generating Tools in Diocese of Imphal

As part of its poverty alleviation program, Believers Church Diocese of Imphal organized a gift distribution event on 27th October 2016 where income-generating tools were distributed to the people living in poverty.

Shri. T. Manga Vaiphei (Hon’ble Minister, Government of Manipur) was invited as chief guest for the program. Addressing the audience, he said he was thankful to God for Believers Church which has the heart to serve the needy and downtrodden in the society and has a genuine concern for the well-being of the poor.

Around 200 people took part in the event. Gifts like sewing machine, embroidery machine, shuttle loom, pigs, and goats were distributed at the end of the program. Altogether 114 people received the gift items that day.

They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the church for showing great love and concern to them and opening the door to a better future.
