Believers Church Chennai Diocese inaugurated a new well for a village facing water scarcity on 31st December 2013. More than 100 people can now depend on this well for their water requirements.
The villagers used to depend on an old pipe for their water needs. The pipe gave water only at certain times, and often, the villagers had to wait for hours to get sufficient water.
The villagers were very happy and expressed their gratitude to the church. They said, “For many years we didn’t have enough water for our basic needs like cooking, washing and personal needs. For everything we had to wait for the pipe water. Now by the grace of God, we are getting good water.”
Thousands of community members receive pure drinking water through Believers Church’s clean water project each year.
