Believers Church Uttarakhand inaugurated 10 new bore wells in different water-scarce villages on World Water Day, 22nd March 2016.
People in these villages previously took water from hand pumps installed by the government. But some of these hand pumps stopped functioning as they were not deep enough. And the remaining ones started producing red colored water with a foul smell, which caused them different health issues. So, the church installed these wells by realizing their need for a reliable water source.
“During summer, we had to go distant places to collect water for our needs. But now, the water is near,” said Miriam Singh, one villager. “Thank you so much for installing this bore well in our village. It will save our time and our health.”
Through Clean Water project, Believers Church solves the water crisis in remote and rural villages and there by protect the health of people from water-related diseases.
